Derek Hough, Mark Ballas stun while dancing together on ‘DWTS’ — the way it was intended
During the season finale of “Dancing with the Stars,” dance was celebrated in all forms, including the Argentine tango.
If you watch “Dancing with the Stars” regularly, the Argentine tango is often a sensual dance between a man and a woman.
But as dancing professionals Derek Hough and Mark Ballas revealed, the Argentine tango was created for men to dance together in order to impress women.
“The tango, often called ‘The Argentine tango’, is Argentina’s contribution to the world of dance,” Trio Garufa reported. “At it’s very beginning, it was a ballet-like dance between two men” because “in the early 1900s, there were more male dancers than female.”
So that’s exactly what they did. The longtime friends danced the Argentine tango the way it was intended.
As time went on, the Argentine tango morphed into what dance fans know it to be today.
After performing their “Mango,” Hough shared some behind the scene footage of him and Ballas putting the dance together.
They later made some fun of themselves by using the classic “Pivot” sound bite from the “Friends” sitcom.
And fans of DWTS raved over Ballas and Hough’s choreography.
“That dance was insane. Seriously will go down in history,” one fan wrote on TikTok.
“That was insane. Holy Moly,” another fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
