Former “Wheel of Fortune” host Pat Sajak is very much alive and well.

The 78-year-old game show host, who will be retiring sometime in 2025, took to his X account to share his hilarious response after seeing his name trending on social media.

“Noticed I was trending. Thought I had passed away. Turns out I’m fine,” Sajak wrote on X.

Fans were quick to appreciate his sense of humor and shared some quick wits of their own.

“In that case, I would like to buy a vowel,” said one X user.

Another user asked Sajak for a source, while many others took a deep sigh of relief knowing he’s OK.

As for why he was trending online, Sajak was spotted behind home plate at multiple World Series games over the past week, USA TODAY reported.

While he was initially seen early in the series, it was during Game 5 in Los Angeles that he started trending as more people noticed his familiar face in the seats.

The LA Dodgers went on to win the World Series that night, defeating the New York Yankees 7-6 to capture their eighth championship in franchise history.

Meanwhile, “Wheel of Fortune” fans everywhere are waiting for what’s being dubbed as “Pat’s final spin.”

Sajak announced that he was retiring from the game show in June 2023, revealing that the next season would be his last. That season was his 41st, and it came to an end on June 7, 2024.

But one month later, fans were overjoyed to learn that Sajak was returning as a host during Season 5 of “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.”

The season was expected to kick off on Oct. 14 but was delayed by ABC until sometime in 2025 to prioritize Monday Night Football, according to TV Insider.

A new premiere date has yet to be announced, but the outlet says the show has already filmed “much of, if not all of his sendoff season.”
