The polls also asked cryptocurrency owners to weigh in on other aspects of government and regulation.

Sixty-seven percent of respondents in five battleground states — Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin — said they are “enthusiastic to vote for candidates who support the crypto industry.”

The overwhelming majority, 74%, also agree that clearer regulations on cryptocurrency should be put in place, and 75% said that these regulations would be beneficial to the economy.

Further, 73% of cryptocurrency owners said they believed both the Democratic and Republican parties should support “crypto-friendly legislation.”

Large shares of cryptocurrency owners also place a high value on freedom, with 71% saying it is “extremely important” for their lives. A larger share, 76%, said the reason they own cryptocurrency is because it gives them freedom.

Additionally, the polls revealed key details about the demographics of cryptocurrency owners across the country.

When it comes to partisan affiliation, they are divided almost evenly, with 22% identifying as Democrats, 22% identifying as independents and 18% identifying as Republicans.

Cryptocurrency owners are ethnically diverse, with 48% identifying as non-white. They also skew on the younger side, with the majority, 68%, being Millennials or Gen Z.

Additionally, 70% have incomes of less than $100,000, according to the polls.

Both major party candidates have signaled support for the crypto industry, according to the Washington Post.

Trump has promised to stop “the persecution” that he says the industry has faced under President Joe Biden’s administration, per the outlet. And Harris has said she would like to see a “safer business environment” for cryptocurrency.
