Cardi B shares pregnancy update one month after filing for divorce
A little over a month after announcing her pregnancy and the decision to divorce the father of her children, Cardi B is making another announcement.
On Sept. 12, the rapper took to Instagram to share photos of herself and her now family of five in the hospital. Cardi B is officially a mom of three.
Alongside photos of her newborn baby girl, Cardi B revealed that her daughter was born on Sept. 7.
In the caption, she called her youngest the “prettiest lil thing” but didn’t share the little one’s name. This is Cardi B and Offset’s second daughter. They also share daughter Kulture, 6, and son Wave, 2.
On Aug. 1, Cardi B announced her pregnancy and her decision to file for divorce in the same Instagram post.
Cardi B and Offset have been married for six years. But their relationship hasn’t always been an easy one. The estranged couple has separated several times during their marriage.
“With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power,” Cardi B wrote at the time. “(It) reminded me that I can have it all!”
“You’ve reminded me that I never have to choose between life, love, and my passion! I love you so much and can not wait for you to witness what you helped me accomplish, what you pushed me to do,” she continued alongside a photo featuring her baby bump.
“It’s so much easier taking life’s twists, turns and test laying down, but you, your brother and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!”
At the time, fans wished her the best in the comment section. “Sending you so much love,” one person wrote. “You’re amazing, you’re such a humble soul and I’m wishing you a healthy and amazing pregnancy.”
And now they are sharing their congratulations. “Congratulations!! You rocked that pregnancy,” a fan wrote.
“Congratulations!!! I love your family and what GOD has ordained! What a sweet, precious little angel! May God continue to shine His light upon you ALL,” another added.
Cardi B and Offset have battled many cheating rumors throughout their relationship. However, a representative for Cardi B told People the reason for their divorce is “not based on cheating rumors, but rather has been a long time coming.”
She is seeking primary custody of the children they share together, the outlet reported.
