A fight over trash ended with a man stabbed at a truck rental facility in South Georgia, police say.

It happened at about 10:30 a.m. Sunday, July 28, at Interstate NationaLease in Albany, the city’s police department said in a July 29 news release.

Officers arrived to find a 46-year-old man “bleeding severely from his neck,” according to authorities. A 43-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

Investigators said two men, who work together, got into a dispute over trash before one stabbed the other. The injured man was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said.

McClatchy News reached out to Interstate NationaLease for comment on July 30 and was awaiting a response.

The 43-year-old worker was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime, police said.

He remained in custody at the Dougherty County Jail without bond as of July 30, online records show.

Albany is about a 100-mile drive southwest from Macon.
