A Feb. 17 video posted by @Madisdawgs, taking part in the trend, reads “how to not care no borax no glue.” It has garnered over 3.8 million views as of Feb. 20.

Users were left puzzled in the comments with one person saying, “What does no borax no glue mean?”

“(Let me know) when ya’ll figure it out,” another person said.

So, what is the meaning behind “no glue no borax?”

@bgracee_ Basically it means it’s impossible (from an ex slime lover lol) #noboraxnogluemeaning #trendmeaning #trend #viral #fypp #fyp #foryoupage #noboraxnogluetrend #noboraxnoglue #noboraxnoglueslime #slimetrend #noglue #noborax #noboraxnogluetrendexplanation #memories #reminiscing #newtrend #newtrending #newtrendmeaning original sound - Bgrace

It stems from the “slime girlies” who’d go to the internet to ask how to do the impossible — make slime without borax or glue.

Two vital ingredients in making slime are glue and borax, according to PBS.

Now, TikTokers have taken the once-popular words in the slime-making world and are making videos asking how to do the impossible.

“It’s just kinda us reminiscing and basically being like ‘how do we do these things that we kinda know and we do know are impossible but we’re gonna try our hardest to do them anyway,’” according to @Bgracee_’s Feb. 17 video that’s garnered over 353,000 views on TikTok.

The video that’s garnered over 2 million views as of Feb. 20 has comments from users giving the trend a try.

“How to stop wanting to update her with little things no glue no borax,” one person said.

“How to never think about her again no glue no borax,” another user wrote.

The trend has brought TikTok users together to discuss scenarios they wish they had more control over, and some are even offering advice in the comments.

“‘Will this matter in 2 years’ is my go to,” one person said.

“‘Life goes on’ trust,” another said.
