Desirable features for a home on the real estate market tend to be hardwood floors, or ceiling-to-floor windows, or a walk-in pantry, but a particular feature in this San Jose house for sale might be pushing it.

A boarded-up, six-bedroom, four-bathroom, 2,743-square-foot house listed on Zillow has an inactive meth lab inside and is contaminated. It’s being sold “as-is” for $1.55 million.

Meth wasn’t the only thing cooked inside the house, police say. Police and the FBI arrested Peter Karasev and accused him of “stockpiling bomb-making chemicals, methamphetamine and firearms” and of “planting multiple bombs around San Jose that targeted infrastructure, including Pacific Gas & Electric Co. transformers,” the San Francisco Chronicle reported.

According to the listing, other amenities include:

  • Formal dining room

  • Laminate flooring

  • Ground floor bedroom

  • Washer/dryer

  • Fireplace

  • Central forced air

The home also sits on a hefty, 6,000-square-foot lot.

“Home has not been cleared of contamination and will be transferred to the new buyer in its current state,” the listing says. “No access prior to property being cleared by Santa Clara County’s Health Dept. Guidelines. Access Denied by County.”
