7-Eleven is inviting customers to bring their own cups — or jars or buckets — and fill them with their favorite Slurpee flavor.

“Bring Your Own Cup” day will return Saturday, April 29, at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores nationwide, the convenience store chain announced in a news release.

For $1.99, Slurpee lovers can fill any size container with a frozen drink. Customers will have their pick of classic flavors such as Coca-Cola and blue raspberry, or new sugar-free Fanta Dragon fruit, the release said.

All cups, conventional or otherwise, must be:

  • Clean and food-safe
  • Small enough to fit upright under 10-inch hole of the Slurpee drink dispenser
  • Spill and leak-proof

The one-day deal is limited to one per customer, and applicable taxes apply.

“From cowboy boot to fishbowl ... the more creative the cup, the better,” Ben Boulden, director of propriety beverages for 7-Eleven, said in the news release. “We can’t wait to see what our customers come up with this year.”
