A 6-year-old boy was airlifted to a hospital after falling from a ski lift in Connecticut, according to local media reports.

The incident occurred at Ski Sundown, a resort in New Hartford, on Sunday, Jan. 29, according to NBC Connecticut.

The boy fell about 15 feet from a ski lift during the afternoon, the outlet reported.

The New Hartford Fire Department responded to provide assistance, according to WFSB.

The boy was “awake at the time of the call” but was later “falling in and out of consciousness,” per WFSB.

A helicopter took him to a hospital in Hartford, the outlet reported.

A representative for Ski Sundown did not immediately respond to a McClatchy News request for comment.

The boy is said to be recuperating, according to Fox61.

A 5-year-old fell from the resort’s ski lift in 2021, also prompting a helicopter evacuation, according to WTNH.

New Hartford is about 20 miles northwest of Hartford.
