Dunkin’-loving Ben Affleck serves coffee and humor to drive-thru customers in Boston
Some Dunkin’ customers in Boston got a big surprise while getting their morning coffee: Ben Affleck was working the drive-thru window.
Photos and videos from customers and local outlets Jan. 10 show the actor in an “America Runs on Dunkin’” T-shirt, black apron, “Dunkin’” visor and, yes, a headset microphone.
One customer said Affleck was “incredibly funny and quick-witted,” according to WBTS reporter Darren Botelho. The customer also said she was asked to sign a form agreeing that her video could be used by the company, and crew members told her they were filming a commercial.
A video shared on Twitter shows Affleck behind the counter hugging his wife Jennifer Lopez and shouting “Thank you, Dunkin!”
Aside from his roles in “Batman” and “Good Will Hunting,” and his relationship with Lopez, coined “Bennifer” by fans, Affleck is known for his love of Dunkin’.
Paparazzi shots of the actor drinking Dunkin’ coffee, and sometimes carrying a full tray accompanied by a box of donuts, have been circulating social media for years, with some even becoming popular memes. In 2019, Affleck said he has Dunkin’ every day in an interview with entertainment news website Collider.
Dunkin’ did not immediately return McClatchy News’ request for comment.
