Taco Bell brings back two fan favorites – and teases a twist on Mexican pizza
Taco Bell is freshening its menu options with the return of two fan-favorite burritos — and a twist on the Mexican Pizza.
The Double Steak Grilled Cheese Burrito is back at Taco Bell for a limited time starting Dec. 22, the fast food chain announced in a news release. For $3.49, fans can get a double helping of grilled marinated steak paired with rice and signature sauces in a cheesy, grilled flour tortilla.
The $2 Grilled Chicken Burritos will also be available to order at participating restaurants nationwide months after a successful test run in Milwaukee, the company said. Customers can choose from two flavors: salsa verde or chipotle ranch.
The first features marinated allwhite meat chicken, seasoned rice, reduced fat sour cream, a three-cheese blend and green chile sauce all wrapped in a tortilla, according to a product description.
The chipotle ranch version also comes with all white meat chicken, plus fiesta tortilla strips, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar cheese and “flavorful avocado ranch and creamy chipotle” sauces, the release said.
The burritos are the latest to join Taco Bell’s ever-changing menu. After the return of its wildly popular Mexican Pizza, the California-based chain is making room for two new versions of the fan-favorite entree.
The restaurant announced it’s testing a new Cheesy Jalapeño Mexican Pizza in Oklahoma City, billed as a “cheesier and spicier” twist on the original, according to the release. In Omaha, Nebraska, customers will get a first taste of the new Triple Crunch Mexican Pizza — featuring three crispy flour tortilla shells layered with double the beans and beef.
Both are available a la carte or in a combo starting Dec. 22, the restaurant said. Pricing varies by location.
Other new and returning menu items include:
- Electric Strawberry Freezes
- $6 Cravings Trio
