A striking 11-bedroom, 15-plus-bathroom mansion that’s been bouncing on and off the real estate market for a better part of a decade is now back and listed for $29.9 million in Greenwich, Connecticut.
The estate was once owned by former President Donald Trump and his late ex-wife, Ivana, in the 1980s, multiple outlets including People and the Wall Street Journal reported.
“Proudly presenting a unique opportunity to acquire one of the most significant waterfront estates in Greenwich history,” the listing on Brown Harris Stevens describes.
“21 Vista boasts the rarity of 5.8-plus acres on two legal waterfront lots, 750-feet of shoreline frontage with breathtaking water views from sunrise to sunset. Located in the Indian Harbor Association where a guarded gate house allows heightened privacy and security, yet the convenience of downtown Greenwich is just moments away.”
Along with fantastic “curb appeal,” the almost 20,000-square-foot estate has a plethora of vibrant features including:
Formal areas
“Sprawling guest suites”
Staff quarters
Indoor pool
Great room with high ceiling
Private entries
There’s also a tennis court, water dock and outdoor swimming pool.
“This is a truly unique piece of waterfront property in Greenwich, Connecticut,” listing agent Rob Johnson told People. “Location, size, water frontage, privacy and security all combine to make this a one-of-a-kind opportunity.”
According to the Wall Street Journal, the current owners are Robert Steinberg and his wife Suzanne, who bought the property in 1998 for $15 million and spent a couple years renovating the estate, including adding the indoor pool and extending the guest and staff quarters.
Robert Steinberg explained why the price was $26 million higher when it was listed in 2014.
“I had priced it at a very high price initially with the concept that if someone really wants it, I guess I’ll sell it,” he told the Wall Street Journal. “But I mispriced it.”
