Firefighters rescued a goose trapped in baseball netting at a Connecticut park on Sunday, May 8, according to a post on the fire department’s Facebook page.

Firefighters with the Danbury Fire Department put up one of their truck’s ladders, climbed up to the goose and cut away netting from around the bird before bringing it down to the ground, according to the post. Danbury is about 60 miles southeast of Hartford.

“Once on the ground, the firefighters had to cut some of the netting off the goose’s feet, let him rest a bit, and then the goose went on his way,” the post says.
