Boy’s wheelchair is turned into ‘Ferris Bueller’ car for trick-or-treating in Illinois
A 12-year-old Illinois boy with cerebral palsy will trick-or-treat in style this Halloween.
That’s because Anthony Alfano’s parents turned his wheelchair into a “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” car, Deanna and Tony Alfano told 11 Alive.
Anthony will be Bueller’s best friend Cameron while sitting in the backseat of the movie’s classic 1961 Ferrari GT California, the outlet said.
His parents got a head start when they started planning their son’s wheelchair transformation this past August, WLS reported.
“This is a perfect day, perfect thing for him, it makes me feel like I’m doing something right,” Tony Alfano told the outlet.
This isn’t the first time the Alfano family decked out their son’s wheelchair, NBC Chicago reported. They’ve made costumes for him every year since he was a baby.
Anthony was previously Pinocchio, the “Zoltar” fortune-telling machine from the movie “Big,” the Lincoln Memorial snow globe, and the title character from “Beetlejuice,” according to the outlet.
