14-year-old boy accused of shooting dad’s fiance in the face, Louisiana sheriff says

A teenage boy accused of fatally shooting his father’s live-in fiancé in the face was arrested Monday in Louisiana, according to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office.

The 14-year-old called 911 at around 6:30 a.m., saying a woman had been shot at their Slidell-area home.

He later admitted pulling the trigger because of a dispute, according to the sheriff’s office.

“Unfortunately this is another domestic-related homicide,” Sheriff Randy Smith said. “Our prayers go out to the family affected by this tragedy.”

The juvenile is facing one charge of second-degree murder, according to the sheriff’s office, and will be held at the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center.

The victim’s name hasn’t been released, and her body has been given to the St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office for further investigation.
