A refrigerated container on a boat coming from the Domincan Republic on Tuesday had “52 brick-shaped objects with white powdery substance,” U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Puerto Rico said.

That turned out to be, Customs said, 135 pounds of cocaine.

An inspection of the AS Patria, coming into San Juan from Caucedo, Dominican Republic, turned up the bricks.

CBP Puerto Rico estimated the street value of the cocaine at $1.5 million. But that’s at San Juan street prices, which are around $25 per gram. At Miami street prices, minimum $55 per gram, that much cocaine is worth around $3.37 million.
