Farmer finds a prosthetic leg in his field. It fell off a skydiver in Vermont

A skydiver lost his prosthetic during a 9,500-foot jump, and the leg disappeared into the rural Vermont countryside.

Chris Marckres, who’s a double amputee, landed safely on July 25 because he was attached to an instructor, but the expensive prosthetic was missing, NECN reported.

“I think my adrenaline was so high and I was just so excited, I didn’t realize I had lost it,” Marckres told the news outlet.

He put out a call for help on Facebook, and Joe Marszalkowski responded with good news.

Marszalkowski, who’s a farmer, found the prosthetic leg while searching in a soybean field, the Associated Press reported.

What’s more, it survived the huge drop without damage, Marckres said on Facebook.

The experience hasn’t seemed to discourage Marckres from skydiving again.

“All in all an amazing day,” Marckres said on Facebook. “There is more of this in my future for sure.”
