Road rage driver curses at woman — then smiles — before spitting on window, NC cops say
A 56-year-old man in North Carolina was seen on video cursing at a woman before spitting on her driver’s side window during an apparent road rage incident on Monday.
Now he faces assault charges.
Ronald Cohen is charged with assault on a female, disorderly conduct and covering up his license plate after the woman reported the incident to police and posted their encounter on Facebook, the High Point Police Department said in a news release Tuesday. An anonymous tipster identified the man as Cohen.
“Mr. Cohen was advised to come to the police department and turn himself in, which he did,” the news release states.

According to police, construction forced the woman to make a U-turn on Skeetclub Road in High Point to get to her veterinarian’s office.
“In the driver’s mind, she thought she had enough time to complete the U-turn without causing any traffic issues,” the news release states. “When the driver completed the U-turn, a car traveling in the same direction had to ‘tap’ their brakes, in her opinion, to slow down.”
The woman said she timed it wrong in a Facebook post following the incident.
“He had to pump his breaks, and I did feel sorry,” she said. “However, he did not need to slam on them, and it was not a situation that would have caused a wreck.”
Still, Cohen followed her into the veterinary clinic’s parking lot, police said.
The woman stayed in her car with the windows up and doors locked as Cohen approached, according to the news release. Police said he began cursing at her, then spit on her driver’s side window twice and once more on the front of her car before walking back to his Ford Edge and giving her the middle finger.
Cohen covered his license plate with a plastic bag before reversing out of the parking lot, according to police.
In the Facebook post, the woman said her veterinarian and a veterinary technician witnessed the incident and came out to check on her after Cohen drove away. She said the man “terrified” her and that she couldn’t “seem to stop crying.”
Cohen was given a $5,000 unsecured bond and released from jail after turning himself in, police said.
