Bidet company wants to crack into football – with NFL stadium name and ‘Toilet bowl’

The saying “we really flushed that season down the toilet” may take on a new meaning when it comes to Buffalo Bills fans.

And this year, it has nothing to do with the team itself.

TUSHY, an elegant bidet company, took to Twitter to announce a bid for the naming rights to the Bills’ stadium in Orchard Park, New York, on Wednesday. TUSHY focused on team’s fan base, which are dubbed “the Bills Mafia.”

“The city houses the stadium for the Buffalo Bills and, maybe more importantly, is the home to the Bills Mafia,” the press release said. “The fans who are part of the Bills Mafia love their traditions and possess a continued fondness for them. This includes drinking alcohol out of bowling balls, jumping through tables, and spraying ketchup on each other.”

And, yes, the company even set their sights on college football, suggesting that the arena could host its first-ever “Toilet Bowl” in the future.

TUSHY says it put in a bid for up to $12.5 million and would rename the venue — which is one of the oldest arenas in the NFL and deemed a dump by one Tripadvisor user in 2013 — “TUSHY Stadium.” In addition, the company would also equip the parking lots with portable toilets that includes its bidet.

Is the company serious in its bid, however?

Apparel maker New Era Cap Co. Decided to wipe their own naming rights deal clean by pulling out, which is why the Bills are looking for a new stadium sponsor, but New Era’s deal totaled around three times Tushy’s bid, according to Market Watch.

The bid follows a successful year TUSHY has been having thanks in part to the COVID-19 pandemic when people started hoarding toilet paper out of panic, McClatchy News reported in April.

If the bid isn’t taken seriously, TUSHY can always consider exploring the naming rights of FirstEnergy Stadium, which is currently the home of the Cleveland Browns.
