Waffle House sells out of waffle mix online in 4 hours. But don’t despair — yet

If you love Waffle House, you’re not alone — and fans across the country recently learned just that.

Last month, Waffle House said it would temporarily close more than 400 stores due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But to help satisfy fans’ cravings, the beloved late night breakfast chain said Wednesday it would sell its iconic waffle mix in the restaurant’s online store.

“Keep the Waffle House experience alive in your Waffle Home!” a tweet said.

For $20, you could get a box of three bags of mix, each bag yielding roughly five to six waffles, according to the product listing.

And apparently waffle lovers went crazy for it, because roughly three and a half hours later, Waffle House posted on Twitter that the mix had already sold out.

But there’s a light at the end of the tunnel: Waffle House said a restock was on the horizon.

“Waffle Mix is currently sold out, but we’re working to restock!”

Waffle fans can’t seem to get their hands on the mix soon enough, imploring Waffle House to act with haste.

“Please hurry,” one user wrote.

“Please restock ASAP,” wrote another.

“please please restock soon!!! :),“ wrote a third.

“Sooooooo.... ummmmm.... how’s the stock today, @WaffleHouse? :) Not that I’m HUNGRY or anything. (ahem),“ another wrote.

There’s no news yet as to when the mix will be restocked, but Waffle House devotees will no doubt be ready and waiting:

“In every crisis I’ve lived thru, Waffle House has always been a hero,” one Twitter user wrote. “Keep the yellow lights glowing.”
