Want to get free breakfast at Hardee’s on Monday? Hint: You’ll need this password

After losing an hour of sleep in the name of daylight savings, some consider the first Monday after the time change to be the worst Monday of all.

Hardee’s wants to make it up to you with free food.

“Hardee’s business is breakfast, with more than 260 million biscuits sold each year,” Owen Klein, vice president of Culinary Innovation, said in the release. “So, on the ‘Monday-est’ Monday, we’re helping folks cope with losing an extra hour of sleep with a fresh, flaky biscuit escape.”

The restaurant is giving away free sausage biscuits at participating locations to guests who utter these magic words: happy mornings.

The sausage biscuit features a grilled sausage patty sandwiched in a Hardee’s Made From Scratch Biscuit.

No purchase is necessary, but the offer is only available during Hardee’s breakfast hours, 6 - 10:30 a.m., a public relations representative told McClatchy News. Breakfast hours may vary by location.
