JetBlue offers $20 flights in honor of 20th anniversary. But you’ll have to act fast
Travelers, listen up! It’s JetBlue’s birthday and the airline is celebrating by offering a heck of a deal on one-way flights — but you’ll need to be quick.
On Tuesday, JetBlue celebrated the 20th anniversary of its first flight, the company said in a news release. To mark the occasion, the airline is offering $20 one-way flights in select markets.
The catch? You’ll have to book your flights before 11:59 p.m. EST on Wednesday, Feb. 12, and travel on a Tuesday or Wednesday between Feb. 19 and June 17, according to the release.
If you’re considering spring travel, you’ll also have to maneuver a few blackout dates: March 18 - 31 and April 14 -21, the company says.
“No one believed that a start-up airline in 2000 could survive 20 months, much less 20 years,” JetBlue CEO Robin Hayes said in the release. “But JetBlue proved that taking care of people and bringing low fares to the market could not only be a viable business model but could also completely disrupt an industry.”

JetBlue launched on Feb. 11, 2000, with a flight between New York and Fort Lauderdale, according to the release. Since then, the company has served more than 470 million customers.
