Free DiGiorno pizza during the Super Bowl? Well, maybe — but here’s what has to happen

Pizza lovers, you’ll want to keep a close eye on the scoreboard during the Super Bowl — it could help you win free pizza.

In advance of Pi Day, DiGiorno says it will give away free pizza during the big game on Sunday, but only if the score hits 14-3, the company said in a news release.

Here’s how it works:

If the scoreboard shows 3-14 or 14-3, DiGiorno will tweet a link through which fans “can enter for a chance to win a coupon for free DiGiorno Original Rising Crust pizza,” the release says. But you’ll have to be quick: when the score changes, the link disappears.

DiGiorno will give away 1,500 coupons for free pizzas on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last, according to the release.

The coupons will only be available for redemption on Pi Day, which is March 14 (3.14), where DiGiorno pizzas are sold.

“There’s no greater match up than pizza and football. In fact, the Big Game is huge for pizza lovers — it’s a constant, like pi,” DiGiorno Brand Manager Megan Smargiasso said in the release.

“We wanted to up the ante for this year’s championship — and offer our fans a way to celebrate not only the Big Game, but also another natural pizza day in March.”
