A lottery machine at Publix produced Sunday’s only big money draw game winner

Sunday is light on major money Florida Lottery draw games, but one Publix shopper’s bank account got a bit heavier.

It wasn’t the Powerball jackpot, which will be up to $87 million for Monday’s drawing.

Sunday’s Fantasy 5 evening pull gave a player at a Fort Myers Publix, 15880 Summerlin Rd., a whole lot of something for nothing. The winning quintet — 8, 9, 12, 25, 31 — matched a free Quick Pick ticket, making that ticket worth $103,249.

This ticket must be cashed at one of the Florida Lottery district offices or the main office in Tallahassee. The Fort Myers office is at 5100 S. Cleveland Ave., open 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and can be called at 239-278-7111 and emailed at FTMRC@flalottery.com. Appointments can be made, but aren’t required.
