Florida Publix stores sold a $10 million Mega Millions ticket and a jackpot hit

Friday’s major money Florida Lottery drawings produced, for the second time in three days, a $10 million winner and two jackpot tickets.

Nobody got all five Mega Millions base numbers — 6, 19, 36, 40, 55 — plus the Mega Ball of 9. But, a shopper at a Vero Beach Publix, 5230 U.S. 1, chose the five base numbers to win the Second Tier Prize of $1 million. That ticket had a 10x multiplier, skyrocketing the ticket’s value to $10 million.

The Fantasy 5 evening draw came up 3, 11, 12, 23 and 32, numbers chosen by a Publix shopper at 9720 Clint Moore Rd. in unincorporated Palm Beach County and on a Quick Pick ticket from the 7-Eleven at 13151 Racetrack Rd. in Tampa. Each ticket is worth $64,529.

The Florida Lottery website says winning tickets over $1 million must be redeemed at Florida Lottery headquarters in Tallahassee.

The Fantasy 5 winning tickets can be cashed at one of the district offices.
