Two tickets from Florida Publix stores were lottery winners. One won $1 million

Saturday’s Powerball, Cash4Life, Florida Lotto and Fantasy 5 drawings produced one jackpot winner and one million dollar winner, both from Quick Pick tickets bought at Publix stores.

Nobody got the Powerball, 24, with all five Powerball numbers — 23, 43, 58, 60, 64 — so nobody claimed the top prize. But, someone at an Arcadia Publix, 2551 SE State Rd. 70, found the five draw numbers on their Quick Pick ticket. That’s a $1 million hit.

The winner of the $126,481 Fantasy 5 evening draw jackpot didn’t have to pay for the ticket. It was a free Quick Pick ticket from the Publix at 2875 University Pkwy. in Sarasota that had 9, 14, 19, 22 and 26.

These tickets must be cashed at a Florida Lottery office, of which there are nine district offices and the main office in Tallahassee. The closest office to Sarasota is the Tampa office and the closest office to Arcadia is the Fort Myers office. Both offices are normally open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., but will be closed Monday for Presidents’ Day.
