Did a lottery win from a Publix or a Hispanic supermarket hit the $1B Powerball?

Monday’s Florida Lottery major money draw games produced two jackpot winners, from an Orlando Publix and a South Florida Latin supermarket.

Neither, however, was for Monday’s gargantuan prize, Powerball’s $1.1 billion.

Nobody even won $1 million from getting the first five numbers of Monday’s Powerball drawing: 23, 35, 59, 63, 68. The Powerball was 2. So, Wednesday’s drawing will have a $1.25 billion jackpot.

There were no Cash4Life big winners, either. But the $53,932 Fantasy 5 midday draw numbers of 10, 18, 29, 30 and 33 were on a Quick Pick ticket bought at Supermercados El Bodegon, 4704 Forest Hill Blvd. in unincorporated Palm Beach County.

The Fantasy 5 evening drawing was worth $112,577 and went entirely to the holder of a Quick Pick ticket from the Orlando Publix at 6485 S. Chickasaw Tr. with 2, 7, 9, 20 and 31.

These tickets must be cashed at the Florida Lottery main office in Tallahassee or one of the nine district offices throughout the state. The office in Palm Beach is in Palm Springs at 4360 Forest Hill Blvd., a half mile east of El Bodegon, and can be reached at WPBRC@flalottery.com or 561-640-6190. Appointments can be made, but aren’t necessary.
