A Broward grocer sold a $109,000 Florida Lottery draw jackpot winner

A Florida Lottery big money draw game player’s luck started and stopped at a Sunrise grocery store on Friday.

That wasn’t for the Mega Millions drawing, which will have a $70 million jackpot on Tuesday, or the Jackpot Triple Play drawing that’ll be up to a $325,000 top prize. The Cash4Life prize of $1,000 a week for life was won by someone in Indiana.

But the Fantasy 5 evening draw came up 5, 6, 8, 22 and 29, numbers chosen by a player at the Fast Stop Food Store at 6811 Sunset Strip. Those five lucky choices were worth $109,399.

This ticket needs to be cashed at either the Florida Lottery main office in Tallahassee or one of the district offices, which are open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The closest office to Sunrise is the office at 14621 Oak Ln. in Miami Lakes, which can be reached at 305-364-3080 or MIARC@flalottery.com.
