1 store, 2 days, 3 lottery jackpot tickets and other Miami metro luck
Some Florida Lottery vendors go years between big money hits. On Tuesday, the day after a Hollywood grocery store sold two winners of the same jackpot, another ticket bought at that store hit for $275,000.
The phenomenal luck at that Kwik Stop topped South Florida’s lottery luck on a day with Mega Millions, Cash4Life, Jackpot Triple Play and Fantasy 5 draws, but certainly wasn’t the whole story.

A Quick Pick ticket bought at a Homestead Walmart Market, 1499 S. Dixie Hwy., matched the Fantasy 5 midday draw of 3, 6, 9, 16 and 35. Being the sole winner made that a $53,826 piece of paper.
Fantasy 5’s evening draw — 8, 16, 24, 31, 35 — were on a Quick Pick ticket sold by Northwest Miami-Dade’s Baby Supermarket, 4805 NW 167th St., and a ticket bought at Publix at 7830 Land O Lakes Blvd. in Pasco County. Each of those tickets is worth $56,364.
The Hollywood Kwik Stop, 118 N. 46th Ave., sold two of the four tickets splitting the previous day’s Fantasy 5 evening draw jackpot. Tuesday, a Quick Pick ticket sold there hit the Jackpot Triple Play numbers, 14, 20, 31, 35, 42 and 44. The $275,000 chunk of luck meant $331,600 of jackpot winnings came from that store in two days.
