Another Miami area millionaire after a Florida Lottery scratch-off game win

The $10 that a Homestead man spent on a Florida Lottery game scratch-off ticket brought him a stratospheric return on investment with a win in a $2 million game.

Kelvin Staggers, 58, took his Ultimate VIP Ca$hword winnings in a one-time, lump payment of $1.195 million.

Staggers bought the ticket at the Chevron station at 801 NE 43rd Ave. in Homestead. The station’s owners got a $4,000 bonus commission from the Florida Lottery.
