Tickets bought at a Publix and a Broward Presidente split a Florida Lottery jackpot

Supermarket shoppers, one of whom got groceries in Pompano Beach, split one of Sunday’s Florida Lottery jackpots.

Hours before convenience stores in Vero Beach, Daytona Beach and New Port Richey split the evening Fantasy 5 jackpot, a Quick Pick ticket from a Jacksonville Publix and a ticket bought at a strip-mall Presidente Supermarket at 277 S. Pompano Parkway each had the midday draw numbers of 6, 7, 19, 26 and 29. Those tickets are worth $27,798 each.

They must be cashed at a Florida Lottery district office or the main office in Tallahassee, which are open 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Presidente is almost equidistant from the district office at 14621 Oak Ln. in Miami Lakes (305-364-3080, MIARC@flalottery.com) and 4360 Forest Hill Blvd. in Palm Springs (561-640-6190, WPB@flalottery.com). Appointments can be made, but aren’t required.
