Florida’s only lottery jackpot winner Wednesday was worth $115,000 and sold in Hialeah

Of the big money Florida Lottery games with draws on Wednesday, only one produced a jackpot winner in the state, and that ticket was bought at a Hiaelah store with two names and two purposes.

While Powerball, Florida Lotto and Cash4Life had no big winners in Florida — someone in New York won Cash4Life’s $1,000 a day for life — a ticket with 11, 13, 22, 23, and 24 took the $115,869 Fantasy 5 evening draw jackpot. It was bought at a convenience store and U-Haul truck rental location named “Quick & Easy” (by its state license) or “Easy & Quik,” (by the sign out front) at 1875 W. Fourth St.

No matter what the winner calls the store or why the winner was there, the ticket needs to be redeemed at a Florida Lottery district office, such as the one at 14621 Oak Ln. in Miami Lakes. Like all district offices, it’s open 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Appointments aren’t mandatory, but can be made at MIARC@flalottery.com or 305-364-3080.
