Adding a Florida Lottery play to a convenience store run paid off Wednesday in Fort Lauderdale.

While nobody found the numbers to claim the Florida Lotto, Powerball and Cash 4 Life jackpots, a Fantasy 5 player at K & S Food Store aka Right Stop Food Store, 592 SW 27th Ave., hit the midday draw. That person got peak return on investment by picking 3, 13, 14, 26 and 31, turning that $1 play into a $54,913 ticket.

This winner can be redeemed at any Florida Lottery district office. The closest to the Right Stop is the Miami district office at 14621 Oak Ln. in Miami Lakes, which is open 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, and can be reached at 305-364-3080 or MIARC@flalottery.com. Appointments can be made, but aren’t required.
