We’ve brought a whole new user experience to South Florida’s best and most in-depth source of local news and information. We think you’ll like the new design and navigation that helps direct you easily to the top news stories of the day.
Here are some of the highlights of our new site design:
-- It’s “responsive.” That means it will automatically resize to fit your screen, whether you’re reading on a computer, tablet or smartphone.

-- The typeface is larger for better readability.
-- Homepage stories, videos, photos and blogs are presented in a more readable, compact format. At the top of the page you’ll find links to the top news stories from all topic areas – under “Latest News" – organized in a clean, easy-to-navigate design with less clutter.
-- The navigation across the top of homepage – in the blue menu bar – makes it easy to find stories, blogs and your favorite columnists. When you hover over a topic in the main menu bar, you’ll find an expanded selection of related topics, columns and latest headlines. You can also find your favorite columnists and bloggers at the bottom of the homepage.
You’ll find links to el Nuevo Herald, to subscribe, for customer service and for various classified ads across the top navigation. For the Miami Herald digital edition, events, subscribing to newsletters and for links to other Herald websites, just hover over the Home button on the top of the menu bar, wherever you are on the site .
The sign-in information for your Miami Herald Press+ account hasn’t changed – your user name and password will carry over to the new site. You can log in using the “Sign In” link in the top left corner of the homepage.
The site will look best if you have upgraded your web browser – Firefox 21 and above, Internet Explorer 8 and above, Chrome 27 and above and Safari 6.05 and above.
We know it may take a few days to get used to new locations for your favorite topics, columnists or blogs. One helpful feature of the new site is an improved search function – you can find the search bar at the top right-hand side of any page. If you still can’t find what you’re looking for, drop us a note using the feedback form on the Customer Service page and we’ll let you know where to look.
Along with the improvements to our website, we also recently improved our tablet and smartphone apps for iOS and Android. If you haven’t already, you’ll want to update to the latest versions, with improved design and navigation.
