South Florida immigration advocates to host town hall on impact of Trump policies

South Florida immigration advocates are hosting a town hall on Friday to discuss how President Donald Trump’s various immigration policies are affecting South Florida.

The town hall is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at The Green Space Miami, 7200 Biscayne Blvd.

The panel will include Sui Chung, executive director of Americans for Immigrant Justice; Gaby Pacheco, CEO of TheDream.US; Gepsie Metellus, executive director of Sant La Haitian Neighborhood Center, and Dr. Raul Hernandez, resident immigration specialist at Coral Gables Congregational United Church of Christ.

The discussion will be moderated by Jacqueline Charles, an award-winning journalist with The Miami Herald who covers Haiti and the Caribbean, and has reported on the impact of the Trump administration’s policies on various South Florida communities.
