One person was taken to the hospital on Tuesday morning after a migrant boat with 15 people on board came ashore on Sunny Isles Beach, authorities said.

Around 2 a.m., a small boat with several on board arrived near the Turnberry Ocean Colony condominium, 16049 Collins Ave.

Immigration agencies detained a dozen people before they could reach land, including one who was airlifted to a hospital and 11 transferred to the U.S. Coast Guard. Three others were detained on land, Homeland Security Task Force, a team led by the Department of Homeland Security, said on X, formerly Twitter.

“All 15 migrants reported to be on the vessel are accounted for,” the task force said. “Whether apprehended ashore or interdicted at sea, anyone attempting to enter the U.S. unlawfully is subject to removal or repatriation.”

Federal agents performed CPR on a person who came on the boat until Miami-Dade paramedics arrived, U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s Air and Marine Operations said on X. Authorities haven’t said where the people on the boat came from.
