A homemade boat with at least 18 migrants capsized Saturday near the Florida Keys, killing at least four people, the U.S. Coast Guard said Sunday via Twitter.

The Coast Guard said nine people have been rescued, some of whom wore life jackets in seas rolling with 30 mph winds. Another two were found unresponsive, but it was unclear whether they are part of the four people reported to have drowned or of the five who are unaccounted for. The search for survivors continues about 50 miles off Little Torch Key.

The tweets didn’t specifically say the migrants were Cuban, but the Coast Guard tagged the U.S. Embassy in Cuba via Twitter.
