Warrant issued in case of missing teen

Miami-Dade Schools police have issued a warrant for 20-year-old Fabel Gin Escalante in the case of a missing teen.

Samantha Delgado, 16, went missing from Coral Gables Senior High on Friday after her mother dropped her off for school, according to police. Delgado is 5-feet-6 and about 116 pounds. She was last seen wearing a brown jacket, a maroon top with black stripes, and navy Croc shoes. She has blond hair and green eyes.

In a public statement, police said Delgado is with Escalante. He is wanted for interference in the custody of a minor.

Escalante is 5-feet-2 and weighs 115 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. According to police, he has been charged in the past with battery on a law enforcement officer, aggravated assault, resisting arrest with violence and other violations. He is known to drive a 2003 black Audi station wagon.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call schools police at 305-995-COPS or Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
