The Miami-Dade School Board will meet Wednesday morning for a workshop on the district’s draft disparity report.

The report is supposed to determine whether the district is fair in the way it assigns contracts. It is a legal requirement for establishing any policies that favor business owners based on race or gender.

Members of the black community have criticized the report as flawed, and an audit requested by the school district found errors in the data. However, the outcomes were unchanged, according to company contracted to compile the report.

The workshop is scheduled for 10 a.m. in room 726 of the School Board Administration Building, 1450 NE Second Ave., Miami.
