Why Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale was placed on lockdown for almost an hour

Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale was placed on lockdown for about 50 minutes Thursday, from just before noon to around 12:45 p.m.

Fort Lauderdale police Det. Tracy Figone said in an email that the lockdown was placed after police learned that a student that might’ve made a threat to the school was on campus.

The student was found off campus. The threat’s still under investigation. No one has been arrested and no other schools were on lockdown.
