Granada Presbyterian invites Somerset to operate its kindergarten

Seeking to partner with its neighbor, Granada Presbyterian Church is asking the city of Coral Gables to allow Somerset Grace Academy to operate its kindergarten at Granada alongside its Christian preschool, Granada Day School.

In the proposed plan, Granada would keep its enrollment cap at 188 and it would reduce its own size to 113 to make space for the Somerset kindergarten, which would be run independently by the charter school and have no religious component.

Likewise, Somerset’s enrollment cap of 260 on its leased site at University Baptist Church cannot change, but its overall enrollment could potentially expand by up to 75 if three kindergarten classes were held at Granada, located at 900 University Drive.
