FIU and MDC are great places to work, survey says
Florida International University and Miami Dade College made the honor roll this year.
The Miami-Dade schools both appeared on the Chronicle of Higher Education’s annual “Great Colleges to Work For” list, which highlights schools with top ratings from their employees. FIU and MDC were part of only a handful of Florida schools included in the list of about 70 schools.
FIU edged out MDC with recognition in all 12 categories of the survey, whereas MDC was honored for ten categories.
“At FIU, we are fortunate to have meaningful work that has a positive impact on our community,” FIU President Mark Rosenberg said in a statement. “Receiving recognition in all categories of ‘Great Colleges to Work For’ is a testament to the hard work, dedication and commitment of our faculty and staff.”
“At MDC, we support a spirit of innovation, inclusion, and integrity, where employees enjoy collaborating with colleagues who are equally passionate about their jobs,” MDC President Eduardo Padron said in a statement. “There really is no better place to work than here at Democracy's College.”
