Miami-Dade officer’s patrol car shot up

Miami-Dade County police, who were alerted to possible shots fired in a Southwest Miami-Dade neighborhood late Wednesday night, found nothing.

But that’s not what a county cop found when she woke up Thursday morning: The back window of her patrol car, parked in the driveway of her home near Southwest 181st Street and 104th Avenue, had been blown out.

No one was injured and police have no idea who fired the bullets.

The initial call came in at 11 p.m. Wednesday. The disfigured patrol car was discovered at 5 a.m. Thursday.

Police said the officer’s assigned vehicle “had multiple bullet holes.”
