Three people shot sitting in traffic in North Miami Beach
Three people drove themselves to Jackson North Medical Center after someone shot into their car while sitting in traffic in North Miami Beach on Saturday night.
Police responded to a call of shots fired at NE 167th St. and Sixth Avenue just after 8 p.m. Several bullet casings were found at the scene. Two of the victims were taken to area trauma hospitals for medical attention.
According to an early report, one victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head, another was shot in the abdomen and the third in the back.
3 victims currently were transported to Jackson North. One victim with a GSW to the head, another victim with a GSW to the abdomen.

North Miami Beach Police Maj. Richard Rand said detectives were working the scene and no suspects were in custody.
“All we know at this time is they were in traffic and the shooting occurred while the victims were inside their vehicle,” Sgt. Jason Ochoa told Miami Herald news partner CBS4.
“This is extremely dangerous situation,” Ochoa said. “It’s a very busy intersection on a Saturday at 6:44, it’s extremely busy. Lots of vehicle traffic, lots of pedestrians.”
