2 Miami men shot, expected to survive; 14 rounds of gunfire recorded
Two men were wounded as gunfire again rang out in Liberty City on Sunday night. Police received several phone calls and a nearby ShotSpotter recorded 14 distinct rounds, police said.
When officers arrived, they found two men with bullet wounds lying in front of a home at 755 NW 61st St. The men are expected to survive, police said. The ShotSpotter that recorded the shootings was on a nearby street pole.
Some of the calls, according to police, said a home had been shot up. Early Monday, police hadn’t released the names of the injured, any possible motive, or the description of anyone or a vehicle that might have been involved in the shooting.
One man, police said, was shot in the stomach. The other was shot in the lower part of his body.
