Shots were fired before 2 a.m. Monday in front of a home in a residential community in deep South Miami-Dade, killing one and wounding another.
Police arrived a short while later and found two victims with several gunshot wounds. One man, a 38-year-old, was pronounced dead at the hospital. Another man, who is 18, remains in critical condition at Kendall Regional Medical Center.
Police don’t know what caused the confrontation in front of the home at 26246 SW 135th Pl., and haven’t released the names of the men shot. Witnesses described two cars fleeing the scene, but gave no description of the vehicles.
“We don’t know if it’s gang or drug-related, or a simple dispute,” said Miami-Dade Police Detective Daniel Ferrin.
