Miami police investigating two separate shootings

Police are investigating the circumstances of two separate shootings in Miami on Saturday night.

One male in Liberty City was shot in the head in the area of Northwest Eighth Avenue and 69th Street. He is in critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Another male was shot multiple times in Overtown in the 1900 block of Northwest First Court. He is stable and recovering.

Police did not release the identities or ages of the victims on Saturday.

“As of right now we don’t know the circumstances surrounding either of the shootings,” said Miami Police spokeswoman Kenia Fallat. “We’re asking the community to help us. If they know anything related to the shootings, please call Crime Stoppers or Miami Police homicide.”
