Police discovered two bodies Saturday afternoon inside a Miami Springs home.
"Two elderly people are dead in what looks like a murder-suicide," said a Miami-Dade County police officer, speaking on condition of anonymity as officials started an investigation.
An concerned relative, who lives out of state, called police Saturday and asked them to check on local family members, police said. When police arrived around noon, they discovered two dead bodies.
Homicide detectives are gathering evidence at the home along Swan Avenue which, county records show, is owned by Richard and Doris Gardinier.
As of late Saturday afternoon, police continue to investigate the cause of death.
