Police search for duo who hit teen with car, stole victim’s bike

Miami-Dade police are searching for two people who officers believe intentionally hit a 14-year boy with a car and then stole the victim’s bicycle.

Dykwon Dye was hit by a blue Kia Sportage while riding his bike in the area of Northwest 23rd Avenue and Northwest 44th Street just before 6 p.m. Friday.

The driver sped away, but not before someone riding in the car stole Dykwon’s bike.

The boy was taken to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

Police are investigating the case as an aggravated battery.
