2 dead in machete attack and shooting near West Palm Beach

Two people died late Wednesday in a confrontation in which one man stabbed another man to death, and a Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputy fatally shot the man wielding the machete, Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw said.

A woman also sustained injuries when the man with the machete cut her, Bradshaw said in an impromptu news conference outside the home on Mercury Street in suburban West Palm Beach, where the incident took place. She was in surgery late Wednesday.
